BUFFALO, NY—Buffalo State (12-14) remained unbeaten on its home court, sweeping a tri-match today, defeating Medaille (8-12) in four sets, before nipping University of Rochester (13-11) in five to close the day.

Buffalo State dropped the opening set against Medaille 18-25 and then fell behind 8-14, before rallying to claim three-straight sets 26-24, 25-23 and 25-16.  Mary Naboi (Syracuse/Nottingham) led the Bengals' offense with 14 kills.  Paige Ottaviano (Pt. Colborne, ON/Lakeshore Catholic) added 12 kills and eight digs, and Kelsey Bashore (Antwerp, OH/Antwerp) dished out 42 assists. 

The Bengals held off Rochester in the late match, 25-19, 25-19, 19-25, 23-25 and 15-10.  Ottaviano had a team-high 12 kills to lead Buffalo State, and Sherrell McLean (Buffalo/City Honors) had nine kills and six blocks.  Bashore again had 42 assists and added seven kills, and Chelsea Moore (Kenmore/Kenmore West) had 24 digs.

Buffalo State will next visit St. John Fisher for a non-conference match on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
