Chris Cartwright (Binghamton/Binghamton) netted 29 points and Buffalo State (16-6/11-5) never trailed en route to its sixth-consecutive victory over Brockport (12-11/10-6), 96-83, in a SUNYAC game tonight at Vlogianitis Gymnasium.
Justin Mitchell (Buffalo/Timon) bolstered the Bengals' attack with 20 points and 11 rebounds.
Glenroy Carr (New York/Sweet Home) added 19 points, and
Jake Simmons (Rochester/School for the Arts) added 18 points and six steals. He also broke his own school record for 3-pointers in a season with 68.
Buffalo State overcame a season-worst 30 turnovers and led wire-to-wire. The Bengals score the first seven points of the game and led 43-36 at the half. Buffalo State's lead swelled to as many as 19 in the second period before cruising to the win. The Bengals owned the rebounding advantage, 47-28.
Buffalo State will host Plattsburgh on Friday night at 8 p.m.
