BUFFALO, NY—
Chris Cartwright (Binghamton/Binghamton) netted a game-high 26 points and Buffalo State (13-6/8-5) used a late 21-6 run to pull away for a 75-62 victory over visiting Oneonta (6-14/5-8) in a SUNYAC game tonight at the Sports Arena.
Jake Simmons (Rochester/School for the Arts) added 16 points, and
Justin Mitchell (Buffalo/Timon) scored nine.
Buffalo State erased an early six-point deficit to lead 27-23 at the intermission. The Bengals' lead swelled to 12 early in the second half, before Oneonta cut the deficit to just 49-47 with eight minutes remaining. Buffalo State took control from there, however, and raced to the 13-point win. The Bengals forced 25 Oneonta turnovers, while committing just 15.
New Paltz will visit Buffalo State tomorrow at 4 p.m.
