BUFFALO, NY—Buffalo State (3-7) snapped its four-match losing skid, topping host D'Youville (2-6) in straight sets, winning 25-18, 25-13 and 25-22 in a non-conference match this evening.

Ray-Ray Algbedo (Yonkers/Yonkers) pounded out a team-high eight kills to lead Buffalo State. Kelsey Bashore (Antwerp, OH/Antwerp) dished out 20 assists and had three aces, while Chelsea Moore (Kenmore/Kenmore West) had nine digs and eight aces. Allyson Pierce (Olcott/Newfane) chipped in seven kills and three aces, and Paige Ottaviano (Pt. Colborne, ON/Lakeshore Catholic) had five kills and eight digs.

Buffalo State will open its home schedule on Thursday when it welcomes Hilbert to the Sports Arena for a 7 p.m. match.
