BUFFALO, NY—Buffalo State (4-7) downed visiting Hilbert (1-3), 3-1, winning 25-19, 18-25, 25-18, 25-21, in a non-conference match tonight at the Sports Arena.

Kelsey Bashore (Antwerp, OH/Antwerp) finished with a game-high 31 assists and three services aces. Chelsea Moore (Kenmore/Kenmore West) chipped in 13 digs, Allyson Pierce (Olcott/Newfane) had seven blocks and six kills and Paige Ottaviano (Pt. Colborne, ON/Lakeshore Catholic) added eight digs and five kills. Sam Parente (E. Patchogue/Bellport) recorded a team-high seven kills to lead the Bengals.

Devan Jonathan (Bason/Akron) led the Hawks with 11 kills, while Rachel Kwiatkowski (W. Seneca/Orchard Park) finished with four service aces and Shannon Memminger (Amherst/Sweet Home) dished out 27 assists.

Buffalo State will travel to the RIT Invitational tomorrow for a pair of matches against the host Tigers at 1 p.m. and St. John Fisher at 5 p.m.
