ROCHESTER, NY—Buffalo State (4-10) lost two more matches to conclude the RIT Invitational today, falling in straight sets to the University of Rochester (8-3), and dropping a four-set decision to Nazareth (7-5) in the late match.

Rochester topped Buffalo State, 25-22, 25-23 and 25-21 in the opener. Kelsey Bashore (Antwerp, OH/Antwerp) led Buffalo State with eight kills and 20 assists and added seven digs. Chelsea Moore (Kenmore/Kenmore West) also had a team-best 10 digs.

Buffalo State defeated Nazareth in the opening set, 25-22, but then fell 17-25, 17-25 and 16-25. Sam Parente (E. Patchogue/Bellport) led Buffalo State with 10 kills, while Bashore had 25 assists, and Moore added 13 digs.

Buffalo State will gear up for SUNYAC Pool Play at home beginning next Friday.
