Box Score PLATTSBURGH, NY—Sophomore Anyar Majak (Rochester/Jefferson) had a career-best 27 points to go with nine rebounds, but it was not enough as Buffalo State (5-2/3-1) fell to host Plattsburgh (7-2/3-1), 93-85, in a SUNYAC contest today.

Majak finished 11 of 17 from the field and also had three blocked shots.  Roderick Epps (Uniondale/Uniondale) totaled 26 points.  Jake Simmons (Rochester/School of the Arts) was limited to just seven points on just 2 of 12 shooting.  He is now 33 points shy of Randy Smith's school record of 1,712 career points.  Anthony Hamer (Brooklyn/Bishop Laughlin) added seven points and seven assists, but also had seven of the Bengals' 19 turnovers.

Buffalo State opened the scoring, but Plattsburgh took the early 16-4 lead and continued its hot shooting through the intermission, taking a 50-39 advantage into the break.  The Cardinals shot 59-percent from the field in the first half.  Plattsburgh cooled off in the second half, knocking down just 38-percent of its shots, but the Bengals never closed the deficit to less than eight.

The Cardinals finished with 12 blocked shots, compared to six by Buffalo State.  Plattsburgh shot 49-percent for the game and 40-percent (8 of 20) from beyond the arc.  The Bengals shot 45-percent overall and 27-percent (6 of 22) from long range.

Buffalo State will host Central Penn in a non-conference game next Friday at 7 p.m.
