Buffalo State will open its season at home this Saturday at noon against a familiar foe, the Cortland Red Dragons.  The Bengals and Red Dragons will meet for the 29-consecutive season.  It is the first time the game will be a non-conference game since 2005, as the Bengals have left the NJAC to join the Empire 8.  Cortland leads the all-time series 19-9 and has won six-straight and 10 of the past 11.  Buffalo State finished 5-5 in 2011, posting its first .500 season since 2000.  Cortland was 9-2 last season and won the ECAC Southeast Bowl.
