HOBOKEN, NJ—Buffalo State (11-3) finished a perfect weekend at the Ducks Invitational, winning both its matches against Kean (7-4) and York (Pa.) in four sets.

In the morning match, the Bengals defeated Kean, 25-13, 21-25, 25-19 and 25-15.  Sam Parente (E. Patchogue/Bellport) led Buffalo State with 12 kills, while Chelsea Moore (Kenmore/Kenmore West) finished with a team-high 21 digs.  Sherrell McLean (Buffalo/City Honors) helped bolster the Bengals offense with eight kills and seven blocks.  Sarah Horvath (Blasdell/Immaculata) and Rachelle Kelchlin (W. Seneca/St. Mary's) also chipped in 15 and 14 digs apiece.

Buffalo State downed York (Pa.) in the second match, winning 25-20, 25-17, 23-25 and 25-16.  Parente again led the Bengals offense with 17 kills.  McLean and Jennifer Cecchettini (Hamburg/Hamburg) added 11 and 10 kills, respectively, while Moore finished with 21 digs. 

McLean and Kelsey Bashore (Antwerp, OH/Antwerp) both earned All-Tournament honors, as the Bengals were a perfect 4-0 on the weekend.

Buffalo State will open SUNYAC play next Friday at Geneseo with matches against Brockport and Oswego.
