Buffalo State will play its first-ever Empire 8 Conference game at home this week against Alfred University after spending the past six years as a member of the New Jersey Athletic Conference.  The Bengals own a 7-6 advantage in the all-time series against Alfred and have won five in a row, although the teams have not met since 1995.  Buffalo State is 2-1 after its historic 7-6 upset at No. 1 UW-Whitewater last Saturday.  The Saxons are 1-1 after picking up their first win of the season winning at St. Lawrence, 28-7, last Saturday.
