Box Score BUFFALO, NY--Brockport (2-5/1-0) struck just 4:55 into the contest and made it hold up in a 1-0 victory over host Buffalo State (1-6/0-1) in the SUNYAC opener for both teams today at Coyer Field.

Kevin Dorn (Dix Hills/Half Hallow Hills East) took a through pass from Marc Orlando (Cicero/CNS) and chipped it over a diving Buffalo State goalkeeper in just the fifth minute for the only goal of the contest.  The Bengals appeared to tie the game late in the first half on a nice combination, but were flagged for offsides.  Neither team created any significant scoring opportunities in the second half.

Brockport doubled Buffalo State's shot attempts for the game at 16-8.  Ian Huntoon (Stamford, CT/West Hill) made five saves for the Bengals, while Casey Sullivan (E. Syracuse/E. Syracuse-Minoa) needed to make just two stops for the Golden Eagles' shutout.

Buffalo State will host Geneseo in another SUNYAC game tomorrow at 4 p.m.
