Box Score FREDONIA, NY— Houghton (1-1-1) took an early lead and pulled away for a 4-0 victory over Buffalo State (0-3) today in the first game of the Fredonia Classic.

The Highlanders scored just three minutes into the game and led 2-0 by the intermission.  Houghton added a pair of insurance markers in the second half and cruised to the win. 

Ian Huntoon (Stamford, CT/West Hill) made just two stops for Buffalo State, as Houghton held a 10-5 edge in shots.

Buffalo State will conclude play at the Fredonia Classic tomorrow against Penn State Behrend at 3 p.m.
