Box Score OSWEGO, NY—Buffalo State (8-4/3-3) was limited to a season-low offensive output, as host Oswego (11-2/4-2) emerged with a 79-69 home victory in a SUNYAC game today.
Roderick Epps (Uniondale/Uniondale) led Buffalo State with 17 points, and
Chris Castren (Voorheesville/Voorheesville) was the only other Bengal scorer in double figures with 10 points.
Seth Runge (Springville/Springville GI) added nine points and five rebounds.
Buffalo State led by as many as nine points in the first half, but the Lakers pulled ahead 39-36 at the half. Oswego scored the first 13 points of the second half, but Buffalo State battled back and cut the deficit to five at 73-68 with 1:49 remaining. The Lakers then capitalized on a pair of turnovers and hit five free throws in the final minute to seal the win.
Buffalo State will return home on Tuesday for another league game against Geneseo at 8 p.m.
