Box Score BROCKPORT, NY— Jake Simmons (Rochester/School of the Arts) continued his hot-shooting, but Buffalo State (9-6/4-5) was no match for host Brockport (10-7/5-5) in a SUNYAC game tonight, falling 97-81.

Simmons led Buffalo State with 22 points on 8 of 14 shooting, including hitting 3 of 5 from beyond the arc.  Seth Runge (Springville/Springville GI) added 15 points and six rebounds, and Roderick Epps (Uniondale/Uniondale) and Ryan Carney (Olean/Olean) scored 11 and 10 respectively.  Carney also had seven rebounds.

Brockport took the lead early and never looked back, opening a 48-37 lead at the break.  The Bengals never mounted a charge in the second half. 

Brockport held a 40-29 rebounding advantage and outscored Buffalo State 30-18 from 3-point range.  The Golden Eagles also forced 21 turnovers, while committing 16.

Buffalo State will return home on Friday night against Plattsburgh at 8 p.m.
