Box Score GENESEO, NY— Geneseo (16-9/12-6) amassed a 30-point halftime lead and cruised to an 83-67 win over Buffalo State (13-11/8-10) in the season finale tonight at Schrader Gymnasium.

Roderick Epps (Uniondale/Uniondale) led the Bengals with 16 points.  Jake Simmons (Rochester/School of the Arts) finished with 15 points, all coming in the second half and Seth Runge (Springville/Springville-Griffith) and Anthony Hamer (Brooklyn/Bishop Laughlin) netted 12 and 10 points, respectively. 

The Knights led 49-19 at the half, as the Bengals shot just 25-percent from the field, while Geneseo shot 55-percent. Buffalo State got things going in the second, outscoring the Knights, 48-34, but couldn't overcome the first-half deficit.  Geneseo controlled the glass, outrebounding Buffalo State, 46-31, and the Knights' bench contributed 31 points, compared to just seven by Buffalo State.

Buffalo State was eliminated from SUNYAC playoff contention with an overtime loss to Brockport on Friday night and finishes the season in seventh place in the league standings.
