Box Score BUFFALO, NY—Buffalo State (5-4) scored a win in its home opener, defeating the University of Rochester (2-7), 3-1, winning 25-19, 25-16, 24-26 and 25-15 tonight at the Sports Arena.

Kayla Pyc (Grand Island/Grand Island) led the Bengal attack with 11 kills.  Samantha Parente (E. Patchogue/Bellport) had 10 kills and five digs.  Kelsey Bashore (Antwerp, OH/Antwerp) finished with 40 assists and 16 digs, while Chelsea Moore (Kenmore/Kenmore West) chipped in four aces and 16 digs.  Sarah Horvath (Blasdell/Immaculata) also had a solid game with five kills, two aces and a game-high 19 digs.

Buffalo State will next face Bluffton at the Allegheny Tournament on Friday at 6 p.m.
