Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 MEADVILLE, Pa.—Buffalo State (5-6) suffered a pair of losses on the opening day of the Allegheny Gator Invitational, dropping matches to Bluffton (3-6) and Albion (4-6).

Buffalo State stumbled in the opening match against Bluffton, falling 21-25, 25-17, 21-25 and 22-25.  Samantha Parente (E. Patchogue/Bellport) led offense with 10 kills, while Jessica Crooks (Niagara Falls/Niagara-Wheatfield) and Hannah Renaldo (N. Collins/N. Collins) added nine each.  Kelsey Bashore (Antwerp, OH/Antwerp) finished with 36 assists, while Chelsea Moore (Kenmore/Kenmore West) had 19 digs.

In the late match, Albion rallied from two sets down, as the Bengals lost 25-19, 25-13, 18-25, 18-25 and 13-15.  Parente and Crooks each had 11 kills, while Moore finished with 29 digs and Bashore added 36 assists.

Buffalo State will continue at the Allegheny Invitational tomorrow against Thiel at noon and the host school at 2 p.m.
