Hannah Renaldo (N. Collins/N. Collins) had 13 kills to lead three Bengals in double-digit kills and Buffalo State (16-9) defeated host Medaille (6-18) in straight sets tonight in a non-conference match.
The Bengals prevailed 25-22, 25-21 and 25-23 on the strength of seven blocks and 44 kills.
Sam Parente (E. Patchogue/Bellport) added 12 blocks, and
Jessica Crooks (Niagara Falls/Niagara-Wheatfield) added 10 kills and a team-best four blocks.
Jennifer Cecchettini (Hamburg/Frontier) had 24 assists to go with nine digs.
Rachelle Kelchlin (W. Seneca/St. Mary's) chipped in 12 digs.
Buffalo State hit 21-percent for the match, compared to 13-percent by Medaille. The Bengals also recorded 55 digs, while the Mavericks had 40.
Buffalo State will host Hilbert and St. John Fisher for a tri-match on Saturday.
