BRADFORD, Pa.—Sarah Dailey made seven saves and Pitt-Bradford (5-0) remained undefeated with a 1-0 victory over visiting Buffalo State (1-2-2) today in a non-conference matchup.
Buffalo State held a 10-6 edge in shots in the first half, but neither team could find the back of the net. The Panthers finally broke the tie just under four minutes into the second half when Jamie Christensen scored off a set piece. The Bengals continued to push, but could not net the equalizer.
Buffalo State outshot Pitt-Bradford 15-9 for the game and had a 5-3 edge in corner kicks.
Jessica McCarey (Middletown/Middletown) finished with three saves in more than 68 minutes of play, before being relieved by
Nicole Torres (Wantagh/MacArthur) who was not called upon to make a save in the final 21 minutes.
Buffalo State will host Allegheny on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
