BUFFALO, N.Y.—Buffalo State rallied from a slow start, but could not complete the comeback, dropping a four-set decision at home tonight in a non-conference match against Medaille.

HOW IT HAPPENED- After dropping the first set, the Bengals rallied from a 20-12 deficit to even set 2 at 22-22, but Medaille scored the final three points to take the two set lead. The Bengals claimed the third set and then overcame an early 5-1 deficit in set 4 and led 12-8. They continued to lead 24-21, until Medaille battled back to seal the victory 28-26.
- Kayla Pyc (Grand Island/Grand Island) led the Bengals' offense with 13 kills and added four blocks.
- Hannah Renaldo (N. Collins/N. Collins) chipped in 11 kills, while Jennifer Cecchettini (Hamburg/Frontier) had 29 assists to go with 13 digs, five kills and four blocks.
- Rachelle Kelchlin (W. Seneca/St. Mary's) added 17 digs.
FOR THE FOES- Jennifer Stebbins led the Mavericks' attack with 13 kills, and Simmone Talford dished out 44 assists.
