PLATTSBURGH, N.Y.—Buffalo State scored first, but could not hold on, dropping a 4-2 decision at No. 5 Plattsburgh tonight in a SUNYAC game.

HOW IT HAPPENED- Buffalo State opened the scoring 1:40 into the second period with defenseman Brody Power's (Toronto, ON/Upper Canada College) first goal of the season with an assist from AJ Duggan (Chesterfield, MO/Parkway Central).
- Plattsburgh quickly took the lead midway through the second period, however, scoring a pair of goals just 15 seconds apart.
- The Cardinals extended their lead to 3-1 with a power-play goal early in the third period.
- Plattsburgh added an empty-net goal with 11 seconds remaining, before Jake Rosen (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville North) completed the scoring striking just nine second later with only two ticks left on the clock.
- Plattsburgh outshot Buffalo State, 39-25. Mike DeLaVergne (Pawling, NY/Pawling) turned aside 35 of the 38 shots he faced.
FOR THE FOES- Brandon O'Quinn, Cole Stallard, Nick Belger and Connor Gorman scored for the Cardinals.
- Spencer Finney finished with 23 saves for Plattsburgh.
