FREDONIA, N.Y.—Buffalo State pitched a shutout for the third time in four games to start the season, defeating Baldwin Wallace 2-0 today in the opening contest of the Fredonia Blue Devil Classic.

HOW IT HAPPENED- Robby Kuhnle (Pleasant Valley/Arlington) finished with five saves for the Bengals for a shutout in his first start of the season.
- August Finn (High Falls/Roundout Valley) finally opened the scoring for Buffalo State with his first collegiate goal with an assist from Sammy Wasson (Clarence/Clarence) in the 84th minute
- Lorne Maxime (Bronx/St. Joseph's) added his first goal as a Bengal just over four minutes later to seal the victory with an assist from Barry Hunt (East Aurora/East Aurora)
- Buffalo State outshot the Yellowjackets 18-11 for the game and 10-4 in the second half.
NOTEWORTHY- Through four games, Buffalo State has not conceded a single goal in open play, with the lone blemish coming on a second-half penalty kick in a 2-1 win at RIT.
FOR THE FOES- Zach Haynes had seven saves in goal for Baldwin Wallace.
