Box Score 2 FREDONIA, N.Y.—Buffalo State came up empty at the Fredonia Invitational, dropping a pair of four-set matches today against RIT and the host Blue Devils.

- Buffalo State fell 7-25 and 16-25 to open the morning match before recording a 25-21 win in the third set, but dropped the fourth set, 16-25.
- Lauren Hansen (Blue Point/Bayport Blue Point) had nine kills and four blocks to lead the Bengals' net presence. She also had four aces.
- Katherine Marte (Ithaca/Ithaca) had 19 assists
- Victoria Rigler (Amherst/Sweet Home) registered 16 digs.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bengals struck first in the late match, winning the opening set 25-21, but the Blue Devils won the next three to claim the non-conference victory.
- Buffalo State finished the match with 26 kills compared to 27 attack errors.
- Hansen had eight kills and 16 digs, while Rigler finished with 22 digs.
- Marte and Tina DiBlasio (Cheektowaga/Cleveland Hill) finished with nine assists apiece.
- Eimile O'Brien (Marietta/Marcellus) added six kills.
