BUFFALO, N.Y.— Freshman
Sophia Perrothers (W. Caldwell, NJ/James Caldwell) scored her first collegiate goal just 1:20 into overtime to lift No. 22 Buffalo State to a 1-0 victory over visiting Oneonta today at Coyer Field, securing the SUNYAC regular season title.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Buffalo State dominated possession in the first half, but could not convert six corner kicks and the game remained scoreless at halftime.
- The second half was more evenly played, despite Buffalo State continuing to outshoot the Red Dragons 10-6 in the period.
- Oneonta thought it had the go-ahead goal with 3:17 remaining, but the goal was disallowed due to an offside call.
- Perrothers blasted a ball from 15 yards out off a short pass from Melissa Smith (N. Tonawanda/Niagara Wheatfield) that glanced off the crossbar and in in the 92nd minute to end the contest in favor of the Bengals.
- Taylor Carillo (Pine Bush/Pine Bush) equaled the Buffalo State record with her 10th shutout of the season, making two saves.
- Buffalo State finished with a 17-9 advantage in shots.
