Rowan sweeps Women’s Volleyball

NEW YORK—Rowan handed Buffalo State a straight-sets loss, 25-18, 25-18 and 25-17 today on the opening day of the New York Region Challenge hosted by NYU.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Lauren Hansen (Blue Point/Bayport Blue Point) had five kills and two blocks for Buffalo State.
  • Katherine Marte (Ithaca/Ithaca) finished with 17 assists, 11 digs and two aces.
  • Dana Mancuso (Kenmore/Kenmore West) and Riley Chapman (Orchard Park/Orchard Park) added four kills each.
  • Rowan finished with 53 kills, compared to 29 by the Bengals.  The Profs also posted seven blocks, against two by Buffalo State.
 
FOR THE FOES
  • Megan Jacobi paced Rowan with 12 kills.
  • Kat Wolf had 31 assists.
