FREDONIA, N.Y.—No. 13 Buffalo State scored a second-period goal to even the score and earned a 1-1 draw at Fredonia in a SUNYAC contest tonight at Steele Hall Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Latrell Charleson (Surrey, BC/Delview) was assessed a five minute major and game misconduct for checking from behind just three minutes into the game, and Fredonia took advantage with an early power-play goal to take a 1-0 lead.
- The Bengals pulled even with a power-play goal of their own early in the second period as Jake Rosen (E. Amherst, NY/Williamsville North) netted his first of the season from Brody Power (Toronto, ON/Upper Canada College) and Taylor Pryce (Newmarket, ON/Cardinal Carter).
- The goaltenders would take over from there with neither team scoring again despite the teams combining for 86 shots (43 apiece) for the game.
- Mike DeLaVergne (Pawling, NY/Pawling) posted 42 saves for the Bengals.
FOR THE FOES
- Marcus Ortiz scored for Fredonia, and Eric Bogart made 42 stops.
NOTEWORTHY
- Buffalo State and Fredonia earned one point each in the season-long Battle by the Lake competition between the two schools. The Blue Devils currently lead, 10-3.
