FREDONIA, N.Y.—Sabrina MacAuley and Jenna Einink scored 26 points apiece to lead Fredonia to an 85-78 victory over visiting Buffalo State in a SUNYAC game tonight to earn a point in the "Battle by the Lake" rivalry competition.

HOW IT HAPPENED- Britt Perry (Buffalo/Hutch Tech) led Buffalo State with 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
- Clarisa Matias (Buffalo/Holy Angels) added 15 points and four assists.
- Keyonte Edwards (Buffalo/O'Hara) had 13 points and nine boards, and Jordan Yastremski (Bath/Bath-Haverling) chipped in 11 points and 12 rebounds.
- Buffalo State led by as many as five early and took a 27-25 lead to the end of the opening quarter.
- Fredonia claimed the lead just before halftime and led 43-42 at the intermission.
- The Bengals led briefly in the third quarter, but used an 8-0 run to create separation and never trailed again.
- Buffalo State continued to hang around, cutting the deficit to three on two separate occasions in the fourth quarter, but Fredonia held on for the win.
- Fredonia shot 47 percent from the field for the game, compared to 38 percent by the Bengals.
FOR THE FOES- Einink added 11 rebounds, and MacAuley had eight boards.
- Alexis Cheatham added 10 points and five assists.
