BUFFALO, N.Y.—Buffalo State's first-ever home ECAC West playoff game ended in disappointment today, as visiting Oswego netted three first-period goals en route to a 5-0 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED- Buffalo State found itself in penalty trouble early, being whistled for a pair of infractions in the first 35 seconds of the game, and Oswego capitalized on the two-player advantage to take a 1-0 lead just 1:13 into the game.
- The Bengals appeared to even the score with a power-play goal by Erin Gehen (West Seneca, NY/W. Seneca West) six minutes into the game, but the goal was disallowed due to goalie interference.
- The Lakers would score a pair of goals just over two minutes apart late in the opening frame to push the lead to 3-0.
- Oswego added a fourth goal midway through the second period, and then sealed the win with a shorthanded empty-net goal in the closing minutes.
- Buffalo State outshot Oswego, 32-27, including 14-6 in the third period, but could not break through.
- Justine Silva (Baldwin Park, CA/Arroyo) finished with 22 saves for Buffalo State.
FOR THE FOES- Tori Trovato made 32 saves for the shutout.
- Olivia Ellis had two goals and an assist to pace Oswego.
- Jayme McCreary, Alli Ulrich and Andrea Noss also scored for the Lakers.
NOTEWORTHY- Buffalo State finished the season with a school-record 18 wins.
