Women’s Volleyball comes up empty at Potsdam VPI

CANTON, N.Y.—Buffalo State suffered two more losses to conclude the Potsdam Victory Promotions Invitational today, dropping straight-set decisions to host St. Lawrence and Kean.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • After dropping the first two sets, Buffalo State looked to extend the match, taking a 15-10 lead in the third set, but the Saints battled back and sealed the win.
  • Lauren Hansen (Blue Point/Bayport Blue Point) continued to pace Buffalo State's offense with 10 kills. 
  • Meg Brandon (Flint, MI/Grand Blanc) dished out 25 assists.
  • Victoria Rigler (Amherst/Sweet Home) recorded a team-high 13 digs.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Bengals were unable to get going against a strong Kean team in the late match.
  • Hansen led Buffalo State with six kills and 15 digs.
  • Allie Harford (Silver Creek/Silver Creek) and Riley Chapman (Orchard Park/Orchard Park) had four kills each.
  • Brandon finished with 16 assists and 11 digs, and Rigler added 14 digs.

  • Chapman represented the Bengals on the All-Tournament Team.
