No. 9/10 Men’s Hockey skates past Lebanon Valley, 6-3

HERSHEY, Pa.— Anthony Passero (Fort Erie, ON/Lakeshore) tallied four points and Anthony Beaumont (Lester, PA/Interboro) scored twice as No. 9/10 Buffalo State doubled up host Lebanon Valley, 6-3, tonight in a non-conference game at Hersheypark Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Passero finished with a goal and three assists.
  • Mac Wood (Simcoe, ON/SCS) had a goal and an assist for the Bengals, while Hugo Petit (Chelsea, QC/CIH Acad.) and Stephen Kelly (Columbus, ON/Columbus North) also scored.
  • Brody Power (Toronto, ON/Upper Canada College) picked up a pair of assists.
  • Beaumont opened the scoring for Buffalo State just 3:02 into the game, but LVC responded with a pair of goals, including one on a 5-on-3 power play to take a 2-1 lead into the second period.
  • Buffalo State bounced back with five-straight goals, including four in the middle frame. 
  • Passero's eighth of the season just 1:10 into the stanza got the rally started.
  • Petit netted his third of the year less than three minutes later. 
  • Wood scored his eighth and Beaumont added his second of the game and seventh of the season before the period ended.
  • Kelly extended the lead with his first of his career early in the third period before LVC complete the scoring midway through the final frame.
  • Buffalo State outshot LVC, 56-17, for the game.
  • Mike DeLaVergne (Pawling, NY/Pawling) finished with 14 saves.
