BUFFALO, N.Y.—Buffalo State could not overcome 33 turnovers as New Paltz pulled away for the 76-38 victory over the Bengals today in a SUNYAC game at the Sports Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Caleh McLean (New Rochelle/New Rochelle) led the Bengals with 10 points, shooting 4 of 15 from the field.
- Princella McCullough (Rochester/Bishop Kearney) had eight points and five rebounds.
- Taylor Graham (Santa Rosa, CA/Maria Carrillo) added six points and four steals before leaving the game with an injury in the fourth quarter.
- Buffalo State led briefly in the opening minutes, but New Paltz took a 24-11 lead by the end of the first quarter and never looked back.
- After leading 36-21 at the intermission, the Hawks outscored the Bengals 22-6 in the third quarter and continued to run away with the victory.
- New Paltz shot 44 percent for the game, compared to 28 percent by Buffalo State.
- The Hawks netted 32 points off turnovers and held a 21-10 scoring advantage on the fast break.
