Justine Silva (Baldwin Park, CA/Arroyo) needed to make just 13 stops for her second shutout of the season as Buffalo State skated past host Cortland 2-0 today in ECAC West action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a scoreless first period, Christine Harris (Mountain Top, PA/Wyoming Seminary) opened the scoring with a power-play goal early in the second frame. It was Harris's third goal of the season and third in the last four games. Erin Gehen (W. Seneca, NY/W. Seneca West) and Bri Carroll (Peoria, AZ/AZ Virtual Academy) were credited with the assists.
- Emma Ruggiero (Amherst, NY/Sacred Heart) pushed the Bengals lead to 2-0 less than two minutes into the third period with assists from Caitie Horvatits (Elma, NY/Iroquois) and Lila Toczek (Pendleton, NY/Starpoint).
- Buffalo State controlled play from the opening faceoff, outshooting Cortland, 39-13.
- The Bengals were 1 for 4 on the power play, and Cortland was 0 for 3.

- Kelly Farinella had 37 stops in the loss for Cortland.
