FREDONIA, N.Y.—
Princella McCullough (Rochester/Bishop Kearney) had 19 points and 14 rebounds, but it was not enough as Buffalo State dropped an 81-60 decision tonight in a "Battle by the Lake" contest at Fredonia.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Mariah Rosario (Flushing/RFK) netted 15 points to go with seven rebounds to bolster the Bengals presence in the paint.
- Taylor Graham (Santa Rosa, CA/Maria Carrillo) added 12 points and three assists.
- Fredonia never trailed in the contest, running out to a 39-28 lead at halftime.
- The Bengals closed the gap to eight at 51-43 in the third quarter, but would not come any closer as Fredonia pulled ahead by as many as 25 in the fourth quarter.
- Fredonia shot 51 percent for the game and hit 10 3-pointers, outscoring the Bengals 30-18 from long range.
- The Blue Devils capitalized on 25 Buffalo State turnovers, converting those miscues into 32 points.
FOR THE FOES
- Alexis Cheatham led Fredonia wit h21 points, five assists and four steals.
- Jenna Einink added 13 points.
NOTEWORTHY
- With the win, Fredonia secures one point to extend its lead in the season-long "Battle by the Lake" competition to 12-4.
