POTSDAM, N.Y.— Andreas Queen (Stone Ridge/Rondout Valley) broke the 35-year old school record for shutouts in a season to backstop Buffalo State to a 1-0 victory over host Potsdam today, extending the team's winning streak to five games and its unbeaten streak to 12.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Queen only needed to make a single save to preserve his school-best eighth shutout of the year.
• Ali Shawish (Lackawanna/Lackawanna) provided the only offense necessary when he struck for his third goal of the season in the 76^th minute.
• The Bengals controlled play in the first half, outshooting Potsdam, 6-1.  The second half started in similar fashion before finally breaking through with less than 15 minutes remaining.
• Buffalo State sat back from there and help Potsdam at bay to seal the win. 
• The Bengals finished with a 14-7 advantage in shots, including 6-1 on goal.

 
FOR THE FOES

• Keagen Briggs made five saves to keep the Bears in the contest.

 
NOTEWORTHY

• Buffalo State's 12 wins are the most by the program in a single season since winning 14 in 1984.
• Queen broke the single-season shutout record set by Tony Gatto in 1982.
