The Matchup…Buffalo State suffered its first loss of the season last Saturday at nationally-ranked Alfred, 21-3, to fall to 3-1 overall and 1-1 in Empire 8 play.  Cortland is 2-2 overall and 1-1 in league play.  The Red Dragons have victories over Augustana and Hartwick, and have fallen to Framingham State and Brockport.  Cortland leads the all-time series, 19-14, but Buffalo State has won each of the last five meetings, including a 39-21 win on the road last year.
