Women’s Volleyball tops Plattsburgh for first SUNYAC win, falls to Geneseo

GENESEO, N.Y.—Buffalo State swept Plattsburgh for its first SUNYAC win of the season before dropping a four-set decision against host Geneseo today to conclude the second round of pool play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Buffalo State dominated the Cardinals en route to a straight-sets win in the opening match, winning 25-17, 25-16 and 25-15.
  • The Bengals finished with 13 blocks and a .198 attack percentage.
  • Maria Gelyon (W. Seneca/Immaculata) had eight blocks and had five kills.
  • Lauren Hansen (Blue Point/Bayport Blue Point) tallied a team-high 11 kills.
  • Alyssa Durski (Eden/Eden) had 24 assists to go with a team-high 17 digs, and Brittney Valentine (Marietta/Marcellus) added 16 digs and three aces.

  • Eimile O'Brien (Marietta/Marcellus) added 11 kills and four blocks.
  • Durski chipped in 37 assists.
