CORTLAND, N.Y.— Colin O'Connor's (Kankakee, IL/Providence Catholic) first goal of the season with less than four minutes remaining pushed visiting Buffalo State past Cortland, 3-2, tonight in a SUNYAC contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Zach Nieminen (Ajax, ON/Notre Dame CSS) added a goal and an assist for Buffalo State, and Cody Symonds (Woodbridge, ON/Emily Carr) also scored.
Cortland produced the only goal of the first period while on a two-man advantage.
Symonds tallied his first collegiate goal early in the second period.
Nieminen's fourth of the season less than three minutes into the final frame gave Buffalo State its first lead.
The Red Dragons responded 10 minutes later, setting the stage for O'Connor's game-winner with just 3:28 remaining.
Ian Sylves (Sloan, NY/JFK) made 24 saves in the victory as the Bengals were outshot 26-24.
