BUFFALO, N.Y.—
Mac Wood (Simcoe, ON/SCS) scored twice and
Zach Nieminen (Ajax, ON/Notre Dame CSS) tallied the game-tying goal with 24 seconds remaining as Buffalo State rallied to tie visiting Brockport, 3-3, tonight in a SUNYAC contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Brockport controlled the play in the first period, outshooting the Bengals 15-5, but the best chance of the period belonged to Buffalo State, but Nieminen was unable to convert on a penalty shot.
- Buffalo State dominated the start of the second period, generating the first 10 shots of the frame and Wood opened the scoring with a long snap shot off the post and in.
- Brockport would answer with a pair of goals to take a 2-1 lead, but Wood would follow up on a rebound and net his second goal of the game on the power play to even the score at 2-2 to head into the third period.
- Nieminen fired a shot off the post early in the frame, but Brockport regained the lead just five minutes into the period.
- With the Buffalo State net empty in the final minute, Nieminen finally came due, slinging a point shot to the back of the net to even the score with his second of the season with just 24 seconds remaining.
- Ian Sylves (Sloan, NY/JFK) finished with 33 saves, including seven in overtime to preserve the tie.
- Brockport held a 36-35 edge in shots on goal, including 7-1 in the extra session.
- Buffalo State was 1 for 2 on the power play, while the Golden Eagles were 0 for 3.

- Aidan Verbeke had a goal and an assist for Brockport, and Zac Sikich and Casey Winn also scored.
- Jake Moore made 32 saves.
