BUFFALO, N.Y.—Cortland held Buffalo State scoreless for a span of nearly 13 minutes as it pulled away and coasted to an 81-55 road victory in a SUNYAC contest today at the Sports Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Mike Henry (Syracuse/West Genesee) led Buffalo State with 14 points and four steals.
- Sheldon Adams (Rochester/Bishop Kearney) was the only other Bengal scorer in double figures with 12 points.
- Buffalo State and Cortland were even at 13-13 early before the Red Dragons outscored the Bengals 24-0 over the final 11:55 of the first half to take a 37-13 at the intermission.
- The Bengals finally broke the drought just over a minute into the second half, but Cortland pushed the lead to as many as 34 before coasting to the victory.
- The Red Dragons shot 55 percent from the field and hit 10 of 24 from beyond the arc. Buffalo State shot just 28 percent and was 3 for 21 from long range.
FOR THE FOES
- Justin Cooper led Cortland with 19 points, 13 rebounds and six assists.
- Zach Lydon added 19 points in just 21 minutes, and Carrel Joseph netted 18 points.

Buffalo State will next travel to Virginia for the Hampden-Sydney Classic on Dec. 16 and 17. The Bengals will open with the host school on Saturday, before taking on Bridgewater (Va.) on Sunday.
