OSWEGO, N.Y.— Rachel Lenard (Orchard Park, NY/Nardin) scored twice against her former team as Buffalo State defeated host No. 8 Oswego, 2-1, this afternoon in an ECAC West contest.

  • Lenard, who played a season-and-a-half at Oswego before transferring to Buffalo State last January, opened the scoring with an unassisted tally in the first period.
  • The Lakers evened the score with a power-play marker in the middle frame.
  • Lenard netted her second of the game and 10th of the season with less than five remaining in the third period with and assist from Megan Reukauf (Depew, NY/Lancaster) which proved to be the game-winner.
  • Justine Silva (Baldwin Park, CA/Arroyo) turned aside 27 of the 28 shots she faced for the victory.
