No. 13 Men’s Hockey falls flat in regular-season finale at No. 2/3 Oswego

OSWEGO, N.Y.—No. 13 Buffalo State managed just 14 shots on goal in a 6-1 loss at No. 2/3 Oswego in tonight's regular-season finale at Campus Center Ice Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Oswego opened the scoring just 39 seconds into the game and scored twice in the first 2:10 of the second period to take a 3-1 lead.
  • Freshman Jonathan Colley (Stouffville, ON/Stouffville District) scored his third goal of the season and second in as many days to get Buffalo State on the scoreboard, but the Lakers would reclaim the three-goal lead before the second intermission.
  • Oswego continued to pull away in the third period, scoring two more goals to cruise to the victory.
  • The Lakers outshot Buffalo State 30-14 for the game.
  • Mike DeLaVergne (Pawling, NY/Pawling) surrendered four goals on 22 shots, before being relieved by Andrei Svistunov (Moscow, Russia) who allowed two goals on eight shots.
  • Oswego finished 2 for 4 on the power play, while the Bengals were 0 for 7.
