ELMIRA, N.Y.—Nationally-No. 4-ranked Elmira pulled away with four third-period goals and defeated visiting Buffalo State, 6-0, in today's ECAC West semifinals.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Soaring Eagles broke through to open the scoring with just over a minute remaining in the first period, and extended their advantage to two early in the second period.
- The score remained 2-0 entering the final frame, but Elmira would pull away with a four-goal outburst over the final 20 minutes to claim a 6-0 victory.
- The Soaring Eagles outshot the Bengals 43-19 for the game and finished 1 for 2 on the power play and also tallied a shorthanded goal.
- Buffalo State was unable to convert on four power-play opportunities.
- Justine Silva (Baldwin Park, CA/Arroyo) finished with 37 saves in goal for the Bengals.
FOR THE FOES
- Louisa Lippiatt Durnell scored twice for Elmira, and Maddie Evangelous had a goal and two assists.
- Maddy Jerolman and Anna Tude also scored.
- Kelcey Crawford made 19 saves for the shutout.
NOTEWORTHY
- Buffalo State finished the campaign with 17 wins, one shy of the school record set last season.
