BEREA, Ohio—Buffalo State dropped a pair of straight-set matches against two unbeaten teams this evening, falling to Mount Union and host Baldwin Wallace on the opening day of the Marcia French Invitational.
MATCH 1 BASICS

- After hanging tough in the first set, Buffalo State jumped out to a 6-1 lead in the second set before the Yellow Jackets answered with a 16-5 run and continued on for the 25-18 win. Baldwin Wallace finished the sweep, winning the third set 25-16.
- Lauren Hansen (Blue Point/Bayport Blue Point) led the Bengals with nine kills.
- Durski added 19 assists and 11 digs.
- BW finished with 45 kills, compared to 23 by the Bengals.
FOR THE FOES
- Alicia Lortcher led BW with 17 kills and added two blocks.
- Kathleen Egan dished out 32 assists.
