FREDONIA, N.Y.—
Mac Wood (Simcoe, ON/SCS) scored twice as visiting Buffalo State erased an early 2-0 deficit to complete the weekend over Fredonia with a 4-3 SUNYAC victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Zach Remers (Clarence, NY/Canisius) and Anthony Passero (Fort Erie, ON/Lakeshore) added a goal and an assist each for the Bengals.
- Hugo Petit (Chelsea, QC/CIH Acad.) picked up a pair of assists.
- Buffalo State overcame a sluggish start, falling behind 2-0 with just over two minutes remaining in the opening period, but the Bengals answered less than a minute later to cut the deficit in half.
- Wood netted his second of the game and 13th of the season on the power play midway through the second period to even the score.
- Remers put Buffalo State ahead later in the period, and Passero added an insurance marker that proved to be the game-winner early in the third period.
- Fredonia cut the deficit back to one with 27 seconds remaining, but the Bengals held on for the victory.
- Ian Sylves (Sloan, NY/JFK) backstopped the Bengals to the win with 36 saves as Fredonia finished with a 39-21 advantage in shots on goal

- Sam Wilber and Jacob Haynes had a goal and an assist each for Fredonia, and Josh Biasillo also scored.
NOTEWORTHY
- Buffalo State earned another point in the season-long "Battle by the Lake" competition between the two schools. The win cuts the Fredonia lead to 11-3.
