BUFFALO, N.Y.— Buffalo State finished with four players posting double-digits in points but could not overcome a strong shooting Geneseo team as the Knights finished 54.4 percent from the field and defeated the Bengals 82-74 in this evening SUNYAC contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Sheldon Adams (Rochester/Bishop Kearney) and Malik Turner (New York/NIA Prep) led the Bengals with 16 points and four rebounds respectively.
- Mike Henry (Syracuse/West Genesee) chipped in 11 points, five assists and four rebounds.
- J.C. Christopher (Bronx/Mott Haven Campus) tied his career-high with 10 points and recorded four rebounds and three steals.
- Geneseo opened the game by knocking in seven of its first eight shots to take an 18-7 lead after five minutes of action.
- The Bengals used 3-pointers from Turner to cut the lead back down to three with seven minutes left and to maintain the three point deficit at halftime, 44-41.
- The Knights regrouped at halftime and continued its high shooting percentage as Geneseo took a 61-51 lead midway through the second frame.
- Buffalo State managed to cut the lead back to three points but failed to complete the comeback as Geneseo claimed the win.
- The Bengals outrebounded the Knights 38-35 and outscored Geneseo 25-14 in bench production.
- Buffalo State finished the game shooting 39.4 percent from the floor, 33.3 percent from long range and 70.0 percent from the free throw line.
