BUFFALO, N.Y.—Buffalo State shot 49 percent from the floor and outran Potsdam in an 83-76 victory in a SUNYAC contest today at the Sports Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Malik Turner (New York/NIA Prep) paced Buffalo State's offense with 23 points and six assists.
- Mike Henry (Syracuse/West Genesee) was dominant at both ends of the floor, finishing with 18 points, 14 rebounds, five assists and three steals.
- Sheldon Adams (Rochester/Bishop Kearney) added 19 points, and Bryan Harrell (Rochester/Early College) netted 13.
- Buffalo State led throughout much of the first half and pushed the advantage to as many as 10 before Potsdam scored the final seven points of the period to cut the deficit to 39-36 at the intermission.
- The Bengals opened the second half with a 7-0 run to restore the 10-point lead.
- Potsdam rallied to tie the score on two separate occasions, including at 65-65 with seven minutes remaining, but the Bears never pulled ahead.
- The Bengals used an 11-2 run to create separation and held on for the win.
- Buffalo State outscored Potsdam 14-4 on the fast break and forced 18 turnovers, while committing just 12.
