HOW IT HAPPENED
- Buffalo State controlled play from the opening whistle, possessing the ball for nearly all of the opening half, while outshooting Fredonia 9-0, but was unable to break through on the scoresheet.
- The Bengals started the second half in similar fashion and finally broke the shutout in the 63rd minute on Gallivan's first goal of the season. Kelli O'Donnell (Williamsville/O'Hara) and Kyndal Hetzel (Hilton/Hilton) each earned assists on the tally. O'Donnell sent a corner kick into the top of the box which was collected and directed on goal by Hetzel. Gallivan deflected Hetzel's shot past the Fredonia goalkeeper.
- Fredonia's only two shot attempts of the game came later in the frame, each from more than 30 yards out.

- Emma Krenzer (Scottsville/Aquinas) needed to make just two long-range stops for the shutout.
