HOW IT HAPPENED

- Oneonta closed the first half with a 32-30 edge, however, and never trailed again.
- The Red Dragons mounted a 19-3 run in the third quarter and pushed their lead to as many as 18 points.
- The Bengals used an 8-0 run early in the fourth quarter to cut the deficit to seven, and later cut it to six at 68-62 with 3:57 remaining.
- Oneonta scored the next five points and held the Bengals off down the stretch to advance to the title game.
- Buffalo State shot 45 percent from the field for the game, but could not keep pace with Oneonta's long-range shooting as the Red Dragons outscored the Bengals 27-6 from 3-point range. The Bengals hit just 2 of 10 from beyond the arc.
