OSWEGO, N.Y.— Buffalo State led the entire game and both
Liv LeBaron (Horseheads/Corning Painted Post) and
Caleh McLean (New Rochelle/New Rochelle) finished with double-digit points as the Bengals knocked off Oswego, 56-44 in tonight's SUNYAC contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- LeBaron finished with 15 points and tied a career-high with 10 rebounds, while McLean also chipped in 15 points to along with six assists.
- Grace Licata (Williamsville/Williamsville South) connected on three 3-pointers to finish with nine points.
- Katie Villarini (Hamburg/Hamburg) added nine points and three assists.
- Buffalo State used 3-pointers from LeBaron and Licata to score the game's first 13 points and used the momentum to take an 18-6 lead after 10 minutes of play.
- The Bengals continued their strong defensive effort in the second frame by holding Oswego to 19 percent shooting en route to a 36-18 lead at half time.
- A 3-pointer from LeBaron gave Buffalo State its largest lead of 27 with 8:08 left in the third quarter.
- Oswego chipped away for the remainder of the quarter to cut the lead to 51-34 at the final intermission.
- The Lakers outscored Buffalo State 10-5 in the final frame, but it was not enough as the Bengals cruised for the win.
- Buffalo State shot 35 percent from the floor and 30 percent from long distance.
- The Bengals outscored Oswego 14-8 in points off turnovers and 16-12 in points in the paint.

- Courtney Ameele led the Lakers with 15 points and seven rebounds.
- Quincey Zimmerman and Rachael Windhausen added nine points.
NOTEWORTHY
- With the win, Buffalo State moves into a three-way tie with both Fredonia and Plattsburgh for the sixth and final SUNYAC playoff position with two conference games remaining.
- Fredonia hold the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Bengals following the 78-67 win on January 27. The two teams meet again to close out the regular season at Fredonia on Saturday, February 17.
