CORTLAND, N.Y.—Cortland scored a pair of third-period goals to erase a one-goal deficit and claim a 2-1 victory today in the final of four regular-season meetings between the two sides this season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lila Toczek (Pendleton, NY/Starpoint) opened the scoring with her 10th goal of the season with just four seconds remaining in the opening period off an assist from Ky Lackey (Phoenix, AZ/Barry Goldwater).
- The Bengals maintained the one goal lead through an evenly played middle period.
- The Red Dragons finally broke through with 7:31 remaining in regulation, and then tallied the game-winner just 56 seconds later.
- The Bengals made a late push on the power play in the final two minutes, but were unable to secure the equalizer.
- Bri Gawronski (Dunkirk, NY/Mt. Mercy) made 26 saves in the loss. Buffalo State finished with a 33-28 advantage in shots on goal.
FOR THE FOES
- Katy Kennedy and Grace Schnorr scored for Cortland.
